[ARCHIVED] Snowmass Village Parks, Recreation, and Trails Revamp Online Presence

Snowmass Village, Colo. – September 16, 2019 – The Town of Snowmass Village Parks, Recreation, and Trails department has launched a new website ( and new online management software. Both went live this week on September 16. In addition to providing a fresh look, the new online features will give citizens access to current and upcoming recreation activities, classes, sports, leagues and facilities. It also boasts convenient online registration and payment.

Parks and Recreation Assistant Director Sarah McMahon has led the project, and she is extremely excited for the online enhancements. “The new website is much more intuitive, and users will have the ability to view facility and park schedules,” McMahon said. “This will make participating in all of the recreation opportunities we have to offer much easier.”

McMahon went on to explain that the Town's goal was to make their services more accessible, intuitive and easy to navigate. Everything is also mobile-friendly, so citizens can register for events from a smartphone or tablet.

Interested participants can now find a registration links on the new to log into CivicRec. Recreation Center users with active membership can login with the email address that was used in the previous registration system (Rec Trac). Existing users will be prompted when logging in for the first time to reset their password before using CivicRec. They will need to click “forgot password” and proceed with the email address associated with the account to be assigned a new password for CivicRec. Those who did not have an account or just participated in programs (Kids Day Camp, Swim Lessons, Adult Leagues, etc.) but do not have active memberships will need to create all new accounts.
