Snowmass Village, Colo. – July 30, 2015 – On July 29, 2015 the Snowmass Village Police Department received a report of a vehicle trespass and stolen handgun that belonged to an employee of the Stash Dispensary - the same business that was involved in a robbery in Aspen, Colorado the night before.

The gun was reportedly stolen during the night of July 28, 2015 from an unlocked motor vehicle in Snowmass Village, which was being held on behalf of the owner of the weapon.

The person who reported the theft was safekeeping the gun for its owner and is also an employee of the Stash Dispensary. SVPD believes that this theft could be related to the recent robbery of Stash and forwarded the details of the stolen weapon onto the Aspen Police Department. This investigation is on-going, and SVPD will release more details as they become available
