[ARCHIVED] Water Main Break on Brush Creek Road

March 10, 2015, Snowmass Village, Colo.—Today at approximately 8 a.m. the Snowmass Water and Sanitation District responded to a water main break on the east side of Brush Creek Rd. near the intersection of Kearns Rd.

Currently, crews from the Snowmass Water and Sanitation District and Town of Snowmass Village are on site and staging equipment while emergency line locates are conducted.

Motorists should expect one-lane traffic with flaggers on Brush Creek Rd. from Lower Kearns to Woodbridge Rd. Please reduce speed and exercise caution in the area around crews and equipment, and be wary of icy conditions created by water on the road.

UPDATE: 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2015

Crews have located and repaired the water main leak on Brush Creek Rd. and are currently backfilling the excavated area.

Brush Creek Rd. is expected to open to two lane traffic my midnight tonight.
