May 12, 2014—Snowmass Village, Colo.—Today, the Town of Snowmass Village Community Development Department announced the dates of three public meetings to discuss the future of the Base Village development. These joint work-sessions of the Snowmass Village Town Council, Planning Commission, and the Snowmass Acquisition Company, LLC serve as pre-sketch meetings under the Town’s Land-Use Code.
This will allow Snowmass Acquisition to provide a broad and general overview of its revised master plan concepts and ideas for Base Village.
“We’re looking forward to the opportunity to bring these parties to the table and find consensus for the future of Base Village,” said Julie Ann Woods, Community Development Director for the Town of Snowmass Village. “Opening lines of communication and finding areas of common ground are critical to moving this project forward successfully.”
According to the 2013 Community Survey, Snowmass Village residents and employees overwhelmingly identified the completion of Base Village as a priority for the Town’s economic health. Now, community members are encouraged to attend or follow these meetings to share priorities and feedback on community needs and facilities, timing and phasing, and the overall composition of the development.
Scheduled meetings are as follows. The third meeting date is to be determined and will be announced soon:
- Tuesday, May 20, 2014: 6-8 p.m.
- Thursday, May 29, 2014: 4-6 p.m.
All meetings will take place at Snowmass Village Town Hall Council Chambers located at 130 Kearns Rd.
