Snowmass Village, Colo.--February 27, 2014--Brush Creek Rd. has reopened to all vehicular traffic following the repair of a broken water main. Due to a focused collaborative effort between the Town of Snowmass Village and the Snowmass Water and Sanitation District, the repairs to both the water main and the road have been completed earlier than expected.
Public transportation services will resume as normal shortly after the road reopens.
At 12 p.m. today, the Snowmass Water and Sanitation District and the Town of Snowmass Village announced the closure of Brush Creek Road between Owl Creek Rd. and Horse Ranch Rd./Town Park Station to repair a break in a main water line approximately 100 yards north of the Brush Creek Rd. and Sinclair Rd. intersection.
At approximately 2:30 a.m. on February 27th, the Snowmass Village Road Division, Snowmass Village Police Department and the Snowmass Water and Sanitation District responded to a water main break. Water service was subsequently shut-off to 43 units in the Snowmass Villas Townhomes and Homestead Condominiums, and seven homes on Sinclair Rd.
By approximately 3 p.m. on February 27th, crews completed repairs to the water main and water service to impacted properties was restored. The Snowmass Water and Sanitation District requested that customers run water through their lines to remove any air that may be in the lines.
