The Planning Department, a division of the Community Development Department, is responsible for the administration of the land-use code as well as determining consistency with the Town’s Comprehensive Plan through various administrative and advisory functions. The department reviews and processes:
- Special use permits
- Temporary use permits
- PUD approvals and amendments
- Land subdivision activities
- Zoning compliance issues
The lot size and floor area ratio determine the allowable floor area per subdivision and lot. All allowable floor areas must be confirmed with the Snowmass Village Planning Department.
