Dear Snowmass Village Part-Time Resident,
Earlier this year the Town of Snowmass Village conducted a survey of residents and non-residents of the Village to evaluate the needs of our community and to assess the overall satisfaction with the services and management of the town.
Since you are a part-time resident of Snowmass, you are most likely a full-time resident in another community. This survey concludes that it is highly probable that the overall services, safety, and quality of life in Snowmass Village surpass that of your 'home' community! Below is a brief summary of the survey results. A copy of the 2019 Survey Findings Report for you to review is available by following the link below. It is worth the read.
2019 Community Survey Results
The survey was distributed to 3715 email recipients and 1754 PO Box owners. Importantly for you, 32% of the respondents are part-time residents, making this survey very relevant to our group. Major findings conclude the following:
- TOSV significantly outperforms the US and regional communities in major categories of service, public works, police services, and parks and recreation
- Over 80% of respondents are very satisfied or satisfied with the quality of services, overall safety, and quality of life in Snowmass Village. This is an increase in satisfied results from the previous survey in 2017.
- Satisfaction with parks and trails led in the areas of the condition, connectivity, and effectiveness of the network
- The areas of greatest dissatisfaction are the availability of winter parking and the enforcement of leash-laws
This survey should make all of us proud to be a resident of TOSV, even though it may be part-time. It also provides a sense of security in the investments we have made in a second home that is likely far from our permanent one. The survey findings are worthwhile to review. Consider printing a copy for the coffee table in your TOSV residence for family and guests to become more aware of how special Snowmass Village really is!
Hoping to see you on the slopes soon!
